Anna Morgunova, Russia

ANNA MORGUNVA (born in Moscow / Russia, 1983) studied art at the Moscow State Stroganov Academy of Industrial and Applied Arts, specializing in book illustration. Her detailed style is influenced by the great modernist artists and the Symbolist movement but is clearly her own new and original creation. Anna Morgunova has gained national and international awards for her artwork, including at the 2013 and 2015 Nami Concours for her bible illustrations. Her illustrated version of the folk tale Vasilisa the Beautiful has been translated into German, English and French. Anna Morgunova lives and works in Salzburg.
